Electronic Pharmacist Optimisation Department (ePOD)

From August 3rd 2020 Victoria Park Health Centre will be introducing the new quick and convenient way to order your repeat prescription.

With our NEW Electronic Pharmacist Optimisation Department, also known as ePOD.

It is a simple way for you to order your repeat prescriptions. All you have to do is download the Airmid App and place a request. Alternatively you can call us on 0116 215 1105 and select option 3 to speak directly to someone from our ePOD team who will take you through the process.

Airmid is the new patient facing app to support all of your healthcare needs. Patients can take control of their own healthcare and engage with their own care team. From appointment booking to video consultations and wearable integrations, Airmid is the answer to Digital First healthcare for all.

Why should I use this new service?

We now have a fully trained and dedicated team, who are here to help you with all your prescription and medication queries. This makes ordering your repeat prescription even easier and quicker.

You can discuss your medication needs in total confidence. Our team have access to your prescription records and will let you know when your medication reviews are due.

With ePOD you order medication only when you require them, and in a way that is suitable to you.

Before you order your medication please check….

How much medication have you got left?

You only need to order when you have got seven days’ worth of medication left

Please let us know if . . .

  • You have built up a backlog of medication
  • You have stopped taking any medication and the reasons why you have stopped

So we can adjust your prescription and keep your record as up to date as possible in the event of an emergency

  • You are thinking of ordering some medication ‘just in case’

Please don’t. You will be able to request more medication as and when you need it.

When will my prescription be ready to collect?

After you have sent your request or called us, we will get your prescription authorised. Within two working days, it will be sent to your pharmacy or be ready for collection at the practice.

Please allow extra time for the pharmacy to get your medication ready, after they have received your prescription.
